Hydrocephalus

Nonsurgical treatment is effective only for some cases
Endoscopic Third ventriculostomy (ETV) may avoid or replaces shunt in many selected cases even for septate hydrocephalus. Certain cases where shunt has failed or who wanted removal of shunt, ETV has served the purpose.
We offer option of shunt for certain cases where endoscopic surgery fails or is unlikely to be successful.

Myelomeningocele or Meningocele or Spinal Dysraphism

  • Even large lesions may have good outcome
  • More than 90-95% cases may have normal IQ
  • More than 85% become ambulatory independently
  • Result depend upon how we handle neural tissue

Tethered cord syndrome or Diastematomyelia or Lipomyelomeningocele

  • Very good results often possible even in complex cases
  • Very frequently recovery is good
  • Even incontinence etc may improve

Spinal deformity

We do short segment decompression and fusion for congenital or acquired spinal deformities like kyphosis and scoliosis.

CV Junction anomalies

AAD, ACM, Syrinx, Basilar Invagination etc

Tumors of spine and Brain

Including Pituitary, Posterior fossa, calveria, Scalp, CV Junction, etc all regions. Craniopharyngioma etc.
